Cement Wheaten Sculpture
I saw an interesting idea on Pinterest. Someone was soaking Teddy bears in cement, then posing them with their arms around flower pots while they dried. I wondered if I could use that soaked fake fur idea to created a Wheaten Terrier sculpture.
I enlarged a Wheaten photo and used it to create a foam base
A pattern was created on the base out of scrap fabric. Faux fur was cut out, and sections was soaked in concrete one by one, and pinned to the base.
To avoid the fur looking soggy and clumpy I separated it with a wooden skewer.
When dry the sculpture was sprayed with a protective coating. The sculpture has gone through a few colour changes with spray paint, but always sits proudly in our yard. Truly a one of a kind piece!
